Our two luxury shepherd’s huts, Curlew Hut and Sundew Hut, are set within three acres of private gardens and woodland, offering peace and privacy in a stunning natural landscape. Thoughtfully designed and handcrafted to the highest standards, these unique huts combine rustic charm with modern comfort. With cosy wood-burning stoves, luxury interiors, king-size beds, and private boardwalks and decks, they provide the perfect setting to rest and unwind in a calming, natural environment.

Peatlands is named after the surrounding peatlands, an important part of Northern Ireland’s cultural and environmental heritage. Located on the doorstep of the Garry Bog National Nature Reserve, this retreat offers a haven for nature lovers, solo travellers, and couples seeking a peaceful escape.

Peatlands is home to an award-winning artisan bakery, known for its freshly baked sourdough bread and handcrafted treats. Our signature creation, the Peatlands Loaf, won Gold at the prestigious Tiptree World Bread Awards, making it a must-try for bread lovers. Guests can indulge in our delicious bakery produce with breakfast, delivered fresh to your hut door.

The private shower room is finished to the highest quality, featuring luxury towels and premium toiletries.

A king-size bed with Mlily mattress and Bedfolk cotton linens help ensure a great night's rest.

The fully equipped kitchen blends modern functionality with sophisticated design and includes a fridge, microwave, oven, double hob, kettle, coffee maker, and toaster. High-quality dishware, glassware, and a fold-out dining table and chairs set the stage for a cosy dining experience.

For added warmth and charm, each hut features a wood-burning stove, an electric heater, and a heated towel rail.
Outside, a private fire pit invites you to unwind under the stars.
Designed with modern living in mind, each hut includes high-speed Wi-Fi, a smart projector/TV for entertainment, as well as free on-site parking. Accommodating a maximum of two guests, these private spaces provide a tranquil escape from the everyday.

The Nook is a versatile space located next to the bakery, designed to enhance your stay. It offers everything you need for outdoor adventures and comfort, including a drying area for damp clothes, ironing facilities, a freezer, OS maps, cycle routes, and reference guides to help you make the most of the stunning surroundings.
​
Guests are welcome to help themselves to extra kindling and logs from the log store or collect lumpwood charcoal for firepit cooking, perfect for enjoying an evening under the stars.
​
For secure storage, a high-security Asgard bike locker (pictured) is available for guests to safely store bicycles and other sports equipment. Motorcycle storage is also provided on request.
